The Farm

Quality not Quantity is the standard that C's Arabians has maintained in the Arabian Horse Industry for almost 20 years. Personal, individual attention to every detail of Arabian ownership is carried out for our clients.

Nestled in the East Texas Pine Forest C's Arabian's Breeding and Training Farm encompasses 48 acres of lush coastal grass pastures with 43 box stalls and 4 foaling stalls. A covered round pen and 2 riding arenas with 2 walkers provide the state of the are areas for conditioning and training.

For breeding, C's Arabians has access to veterinary staff that are experts in cooled and frozen semen collection for you stallions. Breeding and insemination for broodmares and specializing in problem mare care including embryo transfer is our forte. We provide special care at no extra cost from conception through foaling along with imprinting and daily handling of the foals as they grow.

Conditioning and individual nutritional needs are evaluated daily and owners are kept abreast of the horses by personal direct contact with each owner. Facilities are kept in tip top shape for owners to bring clients or friends to the farm at anytime to see their horses. Halter conditioning and training for Western Pleasure or other performance disciplines is begun with care and time being taken for each step being taught to the horse's pace and ability in mind.

Showing at the Class A, Regional and National level is offered at reasonable rates. For marketing we are able to provide photography and video services at reasonable cost. We can also handle the advertising and distribution of media materials if a client wishes. Owning Arabians is a wonderful experience and a serious business. We take our responsibilities for care, training and client relationships seriously.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Cheryl Weaver-Balmer and Karl Balmer

Cheryl and Karl have combined horse breeding and training experience of over 50 years. Cheryl has owned and ridden horses (including quarter horses, paints, palominos, and Arabians) since the early '60's. She has shown horses since the '70's. In 1986 she and her parents established C's Arabians with the goal of making breeding and showing Arabians affordable but of the highest quality.

With close to 100 foals being born in her care, her personal knowledge of mare care is unsurpassed. Her training and showing experience includes Top Tens at Regionals, Canadian Nationals and U.S. Nationals and the Egyptian Event. She has also garnered wins in the National Cutting Horse Association and Paint World Show and Pinto Shows and Futurities.

With Cheryl's and Karl's marriage in 1999 the depth of our training services increased with Karl's background in horses coming from a horse oriented childhood in Virginia. Growing up riding Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds Karl's knowledge is vast. His expertise covers foal training and beginning ground work. He has shown Arabian halter and also shown halter in the Paint Horse Association and the Pinto Horse Association.
